Earlier this week on twitter I was reminded of a great dupe for NARS Orgasm blush that I have in my collection.
If you like the idea of NARS but can’t afford the price tag, you’ll be happy to know that there is a fantastic dupe out there and dare I say a better product at a fraction of the price.
Introducing *drum roll please* …MILANI Luminous!
Both are a soft pink blush with peach undertones and gold shimmer. Although in my opinion Luminous is pinker. - In the pan it’s pretty difficult to see any difference, but when swatched you can see just how pink Luminous is compared to Orgasm.
Like its NARS counterpart Luminous has a soft texture but I’d go one step further and say that it is softer than Orgasm! – Or at least mine is, I’ve read reviews in the past saying they felt Luminous was a bit coarse. - I haven’t found that to be true.
Also I find that the pigmentation of Luminous is better than Orgasm. To some this may sound shocking as NARS blushes are renowned for their pigmentation, as I can’t tell you lies; in the case of NARS Orgasm Vs MILANI Luminous on the grounds of pigmentation, MILANI wins hands down! *did you like my attempt at some legal humour? No! :s*
If you are a woman of colour who feels Orgasm won’t show up on you, your best bet would be to pick up Luminous. It is a very complementary shade, with a lovely golden sheen that leaves a lovely glowing look.
NARS Orgasm £18.50 for 4.5g, MILANI Luminous approx £3.68 for 4.4g

Love it! Amazing how different they look on our skintones isn't it? No wonder cosmetic companies can't please everyone with one product. Fab post darlink! xx
oooh lovely. They both look nice. My only concern with pinky or redish blushes is that I am scared I will look like a Black girl wearing blush instead of having a warm glow to my cheek bones. Or is that all down to applicationn?
Thanks for a great review. I tested NARS at Sephora and wasn't intrigued by it, I will check out the Milani blush, I really like Milani products.
