Review: Barry M Nail Paints

I've been searching for a black nail polish for a while now, so during my recent visit to the newly opened Westfield, I stopped by Superdrug and noticed the Barry M stand.

I was happy to see that they were having a buy 3 for 2 offer on all products.

So that's what I did! - I purchased three nail paints (",)

#47 - Black (cream)
#161 - Vivid Purple (frost with blue reflects)
#292 - Navy (frost with blue reflects)

Product: 3 out of 5
Packaging: 4 out of 5
Quality: 3 out of 5
Overall: 3.5 out of 5

Would I buy again? Yes
Where to buy: Superdrug, Boots, Topshop, Barry M website
Size: 10ml
Price: £2.95 (but may vary)

The Good: The colour selection is BANANAS!! Just think of a colour and it's probably available. Not to mention at a very affordable price! - This makes me happy =D

The Bad: For me personally! I found that the consistency varied from polish to polish. It's either watery or thick, with the black (#47) seeming thicker than the other two. Yet when applied to the nail, I needed 3 coats to get an even finish, whereas 2 coats was sufficient for the blue and purple.

Overall: I'm not a fan of the consitency of these nail paints. As mentioned before, I found the purple and navy were too watery for my liking, whereas the black was too think and gloopy!

The colour on the nails after application is pretty true to what you see in the bottle and with a good base and top coat the colour should last a week with minimal chipping and/or fading. With that said I did find that the black (probably due to the number of coats I applied and the fact I'm always on the computer) chipped alot quicker than the purple or blue.

But for the price and colour range, you can't go wrong, and I shall definately be buying more nail paints in the future.

Here are the colours on my nails.
